A murder investigation is underway after a Scots dad died in hospital following a horror attack on a work trip in Wales.Andrew Main, 33, from Falkirk, passed away on Wednesday afternoon after spending weeks in intensive care following the alleged beating on July 17.
The dad-of-two was allegedly set upon on Princess Way in Swansea after he rushed to the aid of a colleague who was reportedly being attacked by two males.He was initially rushed to the University Hospital of Wales in Heath, Cardiff, before being transferred to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
Medics were treating the father for a brain injury but tragically, his family were told on Tuesday that he wouldn't recover.He passed away shortly after 12pm the following day with his family by his side.
Following his death, police in Wales have confirmed that the incident is now being treated as murder.Two men, aged 26 and 27, have been charged in connection.
