Nineties sensation Whigfield has opened up about her harrowing breast cancer battle, posting a photo from her treatment to inspire fans to prioritise their health.The Saturday Night hitmaker, whose real name is Sannie Charlotte Carlson, who sparked a global dance phenomenon with her 1994 tune, bravely shared the aftermath of her radiation therapy.The 54-year-old singer was living her dream in London, creating fresh tracks, when she received the diagnosis a decade ago and subsequently underwent radiation therapy in Italy.

Sharing an impactful image of her inflamed breast following treatment, she opened up about her cancer diagnosis. "Fighting breast cancer was a strange thing.

One moment I was living my best life making new music in London, the next I was stuck in a bubble of numbness," she wrote. She also reflected on the gruelling experience of operations and radiation therapies, drawing strength from fellow patients. "Even though the operations and radiation therapies were tough, I got so much strength from seeing so many other patients, including kids fighting this horrible disease, and many never left the San Raffaele hospital in Milan again," she added.

In addition, Whigfield hoped her revelation would encourage fans to get regular health checks. "I hope this picture (taken during radiation therapy) doesn't offend anyone, but it helps to get checked once in a while, even though you're feeling amazing.
