Davina McCall has issued a health update after she was admitted to hospital for brain surgery earlier this month.The 54-year-old underwent surgery after being rushed to hospital to remove a 14mm benign brain tumour.

In a video update shared on Friday November 15, Davina asked her fans to keep her in their prayers as her boyfriend Michael Douglas provided fans with updates.

Now, the former Big Brother presenter has heaped praise on her stepmum Gaby for being her unwavering pillar of strength following her brain surgery reports the Daily Star.After undergoing an operation for a non-cancerous colloid cyst, the much-loved presenter took to Instagram with an emotional video expressing her gratitude towards Gaby, married to Davina's late father Andrew. "I'm being brilliantly looked after by Michael and my mum," shared the TV icon from her bed.

Davina also had words of appreciation for step-parents everywhere: "I'd quickly like to say big up the step-mums. I don't really say thank you to Gaby enough.
