Normal charges will be reintroduced at Bolton town centre’s multi-storey car parks next week – but NHS workers and volunteers can still park for free.

NCP will start charging drivers using all car parks it manages in the town centre, including the Octagon, Deane Road and Topp Way, from May 1.

NHS workers and volunteers can park for free at the Octagon and Deane Road multi-storey car parks and there will be a maximum charge of £5 for 24 hours.

This comes after parking charges were suspended at NCP car parks, on-street pay and display bays and other council-owned car parks three weeks ago in the wake of the coronavirus crisis.
