A person was rushed to hospital after a car overturned in a major crash with a bike in Wigan on Sunday (December 15). Police, paramedics and fire crews raced to the scene on Winstanley Road in Orrell at around 2.15pm.
Emergency crews taped off the road in both directions following the collision, which involved a car and a bike near to the junction of Park Road.
Witnesses reported seeing a car which had flipped over onto its side, with a damaged bike also in the road. Three people were involved, with one casualty rushed to hospital from the scene. Greater Manchester Police have been approached for information. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “Shortly before 2:15 this afternoon (Sunday 15 December), two fire engines from Wigan Community Fire Station, and the Enhanced Rescue Unit from Leigh, were called to attend a road traffic collision between one vehicle and a bike on Winstanley Road, Wigan. “Crews arrived quickly and worked alongside Greater Manchester Police to make the area safe.
