A Scots beautician who suffered horror injuries following a scooter accident in Bali has shared a photo from her hospital bed as she prepares to be flown home for medical treatment.
Charlene Morrisey, from Airdrie, was knocked off her scooter into the path of a lorry, severing her arm. The 33-year-old was rushed to hospital on the holiday island where doctors were forced to give her multiple blood transfusions to save her life last month.
She underwent another surgery last week which saw medics remove some skin from her hand after it turned gangrene. Her sister Alana shared a selfie with Charlene from her hospital bed after medics confirmed to the family the Scot would be allowed to fly home to a hospital in the UK.
Alana, who flew to Bali to be by her bedside, said: "So many messages and texts to work our way through but pulling this off work has been exhausting.
