Scots mum with rare terminal cancer vows to make the most of her final months

A Scots mum-of-two, who has been given just three to six months to live, will this weekend defy her rare cancer diagnosis by making memories with her family and friends at a flagship fundraising event.Louise Gallagher, 42, will lead her team, ‘Lou’s Army’, in the Beatson Cancer Charity’s ‘Off the Beatson Track’ 10K walk, which will wind through the streets of Glasgow on Sunday, August 25.Hosted by STV’s Laura Boyd and Heart FM and BBC presenter David Farrell, this year’s event holds particular significance for Louise, who was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer two years ago.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
