Amy Dowden became emotional as she celebrated a major career shift - from professional dancer to published author - following her breast cancer battle.The Strictly Come Dancing star, who is returning to the BBC show this year, was overjoyed as she revealed her brand new book.

After a tough battle with breast cancer, with regular updates for her fans along the way, Amy joyfully 'rang the bell' in November 2023 to mark the end of her chemo journey.

Now, the 34 year old is in the midst of Strictly rehearsals and has launched a book, Dancing In The Rain, to share her life story.

Ahead of the book's release date, which is expected at the beginning of September, Amy shared a video on Instagram as she saw her book for the very first time.
