The infection rate has fallen in Stockport and Tameside but risen sharply in the eight other boroughs of Greater Manchester.
A total of 2,371 people tested positive for coronavirus across Greater Manchester in the week which ended on May 20. The total for the county increased by 711 cases compared to the previous week, which means the infection rate was up 43 per cent in the last week.
In Greater Manchester as a whole, the infection rate is now 83.6 cases per 100,000 population - almost four times the England average
