Former Hollyoaks star Ali Bastian has spoken of the emotional moment she discovered her breast cancer diagnosis admitting that "life threw a major curve ball".

TV favourite Ali has been diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and is now in the midst of weekly chemotherapy treatments for five months, before a mastectomy and radiotherapy treatment.

Revealing the news exclusively to OK!, Ali explained how she first made the discovery of a lump while breastfeeding her daughter Isabella.
