Irish star Barry Keoghan is set to join forces with Cillian Murphy in the hotly-anticipated Netflix Peaky Blinders film. It has already been confirmed that Cillian is set to reprise his iconic role as gangster Tommy Shelby in the film, with show creator Steven Knight also back.
Hot off his best supporting actor Oscar nomination for his role in the hit dark comedy The Banshees Of Inisherin, Barry is confirmed to be part of the Birmingham-set production, although his character remains under wraps.The 31-year-old Dublin actor, who is also known for Saltburn, is in the movie as the action shifts to follow the Shelby family into the Second World War.
The original hit series, which ran for six series from 2013 to 2022 on the BBC, follows the rise of the Shelby family from after the First World War onwards.
It has also been confirmed that Rebecca Ferguson, who recently starred in Dune, will also be in the film, although Netflix is keeping fans guessing about her role.
