‘Peaky Blinders’ movie’s unannounced cast is “mind-blowing”, teases creator Steven Knight

Peaky Blinders, has teased the “mind-blowing” unannounced cast of the upcoming film spin-off.Barry Keoghan has already been confirmed by Netflix to be a part of Knight’s movie alongside Cillian Murphy and Rebecca Ferguson.The upcoming film has been described as an “epic continuation of the multi-award-winning gangster saga”.

It will be helmed by Tom Harper, who directed several episodes of the TV show’s first season.Knight revealed in an interview with NME in April that filming for the Peaky Blinders film would begin this month.As for what fans can expect from the feature-length project, he explained: “I think the film is gonna be a step up again, and it’s gonna be great that Peaky fans can meet in one place and watch it.“The budget will be bigger, but also because we know we’re ending this chapter, we’re all going to try to do our best.

Cillian [Murphy] is really up for it. So I can’t wait for it to start shooting.”Now, Knight has teased more “mind-blowing” cast members as the movie heads into production (via Deadline).“We’ve announced Rebecca Ferguson, we’ve announced Barry Keoghan, we’ve got some more announcements coming,” Knight told the Royal Television Society Convention in London today (September 17). “It’s set in the Second World War and it’s really good.”Recently, Keoghan spoke about his role in the forthcoming film, saying he was both “excited and nervous” to be joining the franchise.He told Entertainment Weekly: “Yes, yes, yes – I can’t wait for that. [I’m a] massive, massive fan of the show, and Cillian [Murphy]’s a good friend and I fucking admire him as an actor as well.
