Boris Johnson will later this month announce that deals are in place with a "small number" of countries to create air bridges, it is claimed.
According to the Daily Telegraph, the Prime Minister will reveal which countries - all said to have low coronavirus infection rates - are included in the deal.
Ministers want to set up air bridges to nations seen as "most advantageous" to the UK economy - like France, Spain, Greece and Portugal, the newspaper reports.
Travellers arriving in the UK face 14 days of isolation under mandatory quarantine - with fines threatened for anyone who flouts the rules.
