Brits could holiday in up to 10 countries under "air bridge" agreements in two weeks' time, according to reports. Ministers are considering deals with Portugal, Spain, France and Greece which would allow UK holidaymakers to travel without having to quarantine upon their return, the Telegraph reports.
It is understood that the plans would take effect on July 4 following a Government announcement on June 29, when the new policy is due to be reviewed for the first time.
Travellers arriving in the UK currently face 14 days of isolation under new mandatory quarantine rules - with fines threatened for anyone who does not comply.
