Coronavirus kills 6 more in Scotland and 5 in Wales taking UK death toll to 435

The UK coronavirus death toll has risen to 435 as 11 more patients have fallen victim to the deadly disease. Six more patients died in Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon confirmed, with a further five victims in Wales, Public Health Wales announced.

Both countries now have a death toll of 22 against North Ireland’ five deaths and England’s 386. Official figures show 8,227 Brits have been infected with COVID-19, with just 135 recovered.

The UK COVID-19 death toll rose to 422 yesterday, just a day after NHS England announced coronavirus had taken the lives of more than 300 Brits.

On Tuesday evening, Health Secretary Matt Hancock issued a call to arms, urging fit and healthy Brits to sign up to a National Help Service of 250,000 NHS Volunteer
