The Health Secretary has announced that the UK has bought 3.5 million antibody tests to detect if people have had coronavirus.

In a press conference on Tuesday afternoon, Matt Hancock said he understood why people wanted more testing - particularly for NHS staff.

Many people working in vital health professionals have called for more testing, so they can get back to work as soon as possible.

Mr Hancock confirmed the government had bought 3.5 million tests, to allow people to see if they have had COVID-19. "I understand why NHS staff in particular and others across public services are so keen to see the testing ramp up," Mr Hancock said.
