Former Hollyoaks star Ali Bastian was rushed to hospital over the weekend following her heartbreaking cancer diagnosis. The mum-of-two was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer last month, the Mirror reports.

Over this weekend, the actress said she was taken to A&E amid her ongoing weekly chemotherapy treatment. She shared a post to her Instagram story this morning (Monday) to thank everyone who had looked after her at Cork University Hospital.

Ali posted a photo of herself wearing a puffer jacket, woolly hat and sunglasses. Back home now getting some fresh air and some rest." The actress, who played Becca Dean in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks, first found a lump in her breast when she was feeding her daughter, Isabella.
