Jonnie Irwin has spoken on the alternative treatments he has been undergoing to battle his lung cancer prognosis.The 50 year-old recently appeared as a guest on a podcast hosted by the How to Starve Cancer author Jane McLelland.
While he said his condition can make him want to "curl up in a ball and cry myself to death" - he said these complementary treatments have "empowered" him.The host of A Place in the Sun is currently battling terminal lung cancer that had spread to his brain at one and was given just months to live.
Jonnie has been seeking advice from Jane, the host of Conversations with Jane Mcellend and how diet could impact on the disease.As reported by Bristol Live, he said: “I just think the work you’re doing is so important because if I just listened to the prognosis I’m perennially given, I’d be curling up in a ball and crying myself to death.
But I feel much more empowered and much more educated.“There is a sphere of help and the help from the NHS is a massive part of that sphere, but there’s also bit and bobs that I can do.
