Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

ITV has cancelled Loose Women and Lorraine's live shows with immediate effect while the coronavirus pandemic continues. The channel said  it had made the decision to protect Good Morning Britain and This Morning in an effort to keep those live shows on air for as long as possible. ⚠️ Read our coronavirus live blog for the latest news & updates Instead Lorraine Kelly will join Piers Morgan for the last hour of Good Morning Britain and the channel will air repeat episodes of Loose Women.

The decision had been made to minimise the number of staff travelling in and out of our studios and working together on shift at any one time - meaning it was impossible for the shows to go on.
