Matt Baker issues saddening health update after horror fall as he admits 'it's really tough'

Matt Baker has shared an update on his recovery following a terrifying accident during a pantomime performance that resulted in him needing rehabilitation.The beloved BBC presenter was starring in a production of Goldilocks and the Three Bears when he suffered a horrific injury after a stunt involving chairs went awry.

Matt plummeted to the ground when the chairs weren't properly secured, causing him to land hard on his coccyx.The fall resulted in The One Show star experiencing a severely painful herniated disc in his spine.

Despite attending regular rehab sessions, Matt is still dealing with the aftermath of the injury. In a chat with The Sun, the former gymnast described the challenging journey towards recovery as he works to regain his fitness and strength. "It's a pain, it's really challenging to get back and get fully fit again.

I'm still like really... yeah it's really tough. I'm just trying to do rehab all the time and stretch and do strength training exercises and that," he said during the interview.
