Sam Fender has announced the disappointing news that he'll have to miss some concerts due to a serious health concern that could impact his voice permanently.Taking to social media, the North Shields-born star explained to fans the risks involved with performing soon could potentially threaten his vocal cords for life.The 30 year old artist, known for his candidness regarding his health, is currently on his People Watching tour and in anticipation of his new album release but faced heartache with the sudden pause.
Despite gearing up for his second show at Glasgow's OVO Hydro Arena on Tuesday night followed by a much-anticipated gig at Newcastle's Utilita Arena on Friday, luck wasn't on Sam's side.
Heartbroken, the BRIT Award-winning singer broke the news: "Glasgow and Newcastle, as most of you know I've had the flu for a few days now.
Regardless of how compromised my voice was I did everything I could to get it in working order last night to put on the best show possible.Today I've had an ENT scope/camera down my throat and sadly I've haemorrhaged my right vocal cord, I'm absolutely heartbroken." In his emotional statement, he continued: "This has been the best tour so far and all I want to do is get up and sing again for you all tonight.
