administrative blunder saw thousands of Scots shielding at home sent letters with the wrong date for when they could go back outside.
The First Minister said she deeply regretted almost 18,000 people being sent advice by health bosses in April which mistakenly said shielding would end on June 8.
But she dismissed Conservative calls for health secretary Jeane Freeman to resign, saying such a demand during a pandemic was an example of "party politics at its worst".
The Record revealed the blunder which saw those most at risk from Covid-19 being told they could leave their homes as of today - when the actual date agreed by health experts was June 18.
