Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan has not shied away from making his thoughts clear about the coronavirus crisis. And today the Good Morning Britain presenter went further as he expressed his anger over people not staying indoors and flouting the two metre rule.

Shocking footage emerged over the weekend of people going about their daily business as normal - gathering in groups, going out with friends and even heading to the coast for a holiday.

Scenes over the weekend were captured by the M.E.N. of crowds flocking to parks, markets, beaches and beauty spots, with cars lined the country lanes at Dovestones Reservoir in Saddleworth.

On the ITV breakfast programme, Piers went into a full rant over those who are not taking the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic
