Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan has been forced to deny claims that he broke lockdown rules to visit his parents.The presenter denied that he left his London home, where he’s been with wife Celia Walden and their daughter Elise, to visit his mum and dad.Taking to his popular Twitter account, the 55-year-old denied that he had visited the Sussex home of his parents, Gabrielle and Glynne.

Piers was criticising government advisor Dominic Cummings, who had made a 260 mile trip from London to Durham with his wife, who had symptoms of coronavirus, and their son.
