Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan has claimed he's been banned from daily government briefings and press conferences.

The GMB host has had a number of fiery clashes with MPs on the show during the coronavirus pandemic - over subJects including testing and social distancing rules.

Piers argues he's been holding government ministers to account over their apparent mistakes and errors of judgment as the tackle the Covid-19 crisis.

However, he has received hundreds of Ofcom complaints over his spats with MPS on the ITV show. Piers even claimed ministers were boycotting the show last month as many refused to appear despite doing other press.
