Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

GOOD Morning Britain has been hit with 76 Ofcom complaints as Piers Morgan returned to the show today. It appears not everyone was pleased to see the 55-year-old presenter back on the ITV show following a week-long break.

According to the TV watchdog, the "complaints relate to a range of issues, not specifically Piers Morgan." The TV host - who has received 4,000 Ofcom complaints so far this year - has divided the nation with his fierce debates and passionate rants surrounding the global pandemic in recent weeks.

Despite some backlash, Piers confirmed that he will remain on GMB alongside co-host Susanna Reid for the foreseeable in an interview with The Sun's TV Mag.
