Premier League chief Richard Masters admits the return of top flight football will provide the entire nation with a huge boost.
But Masters has warned that football fans might still be blocked from going to games next season - as well as the rest of this one - due to the ongoing fight against COVID-19.
Top flight clubs agreed this week to start games again on June 17 behind closed doors with four teams completing their game in hand before a regular fixture list takes place.
The decision was taken following urgent talks with league bosses on a video conference call and the aim is to finish the season on August 1, with the FA Cup final being played on the same date.
