The UK will not completely “exit” lockdown until a coronavirus vaccine is found, Health Minister Nadine Dorries said. The government is expected to announce a three-week lockdown extension today after Boris Johnson enforced the social-distancing technique on March 23rd.
Officials have come under mounting pressure to outline the Government's plan for Britain and give citizens and idea when stay-at-home orders might be lifted.
Health Minister Ms Dorries has now hinted some lockdown measures could remain in place until a vaccine is found. In a Tweet, Ms Dorries said there is "only one way" the UK can "exit" a full lockdown and "that is when we have a vaccine".
