The world of fashion is in mourning as Australian Vogue model Sian Scale has died. The beauty who graced the pages of leading glossies like Vogue and Vanity Fair, has sadly died at age 28 after being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.
The Melbourne-based stunner, whose portfolio boasts work with top-tier brands such as Marc Jacobs, Burberry and Chanel, passed away earlier this week.
Sian, who signed to the respected Chadwick modelling agency, was fondly remembered by her family for her strength and grace.
In a moving statement following her death, they said "She was determined and strong and had such grace in navigating the most difficult year of her life with such acceptance, optimism and vulnerability." Receiving treatment at the Peter McCallum Cancer Centre near Melbournes centre, Sian demonstrated remarkable composure throughout her health struggle, never voicing complaints about her diagnosis.
