BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Kai Widdrington sends personal message as former footballer dad in health scare

Kai Widdrington has shared a personal message to fans after it was revealed the Strictly Come Dancing star's dad has suffered a health scare.

The professional dancer is the son of former Prem star-turned-manager Tommy Widdrington, who is now at home recovering after suffering two strokes last week.

During his footballing career, Tommy made 372 appearances in the English Football League in a 15-year career before spending five years in non-League football.

He is now manager of National League side Aldershot Town with the club sharing a statement about his health on Friday (December 6).
