A Celtic-daft mum has told how her daughter’s Christmas came early when Hoops heroes visited her in hospital.Seven-year-old Amelia Ruddick from Coatbridge couldn’t stop smiling when Callum McGregor and co rocked up to the children’s ward she being treated in this week.Amelia who is autistic and attends an additional support needs school was being cared for in Glasgow Children’s Hospital for a bowel condition that leaves her needing regular stays.And during her last admission the Scottish Premiership Champions walked through the door on her second night.Mum Nadia McFarlane has told how much the visit meant to her daughter, after Brendan Rodger’s team brought joy to sick kids and spread some festive cheer on Monday, December 2.Key stars including James Forrest, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Kyogo Furuhashi.Amelia was gifted a Celtic calendar and annual.
However Nadia was gutted to miss the experience as she was stuck in traffic heading to the hospital.Nadia, 33, told the Record: “It absolutely made her Christmas seeing all her Celtic heroes.“She absolutely loves the team, and was so happy to see them all.“I actually didn’t realise it was happening until I got a call from her gran, she started sending me all the photos.“I had nipped home and was heading back from Coatbridge when they all turned up.
I’m absolutely gutted I missed it, but I’m just so delighted for Amelia.“It’s funny because her gran Milly is a Rangers fan and she’s stood pictured next to the Celtic team.“It’s been crazy she was on the TV meeting the players, we’ve seen loads of photos posted by the players on their Instagram.
