Coleen Nolan was backed by her Loose Women co-stars as she revealed her personal struggle with insomnia. During Monday's episode of the popular ITV daytime show, Ruth Langsford, Coleen Nolan, Jane Moore and Olivia Attwood-Dack discussed the issue of insomnia, a sleep disorder that makes it difficult to fall asleep or stay asleep, leading to daytime problems such as fatigue and difficulty concentrating, according to the NHS website.
Coleen, 59, took this opportunity to share her own experience with the disorder, confessing that she 'can't remember' the last time she had a good night's sleep.
Ruth initiated the conversation by asking: "Did you get enough sleep last night? Apparently over 30% of the population will be answering no to that question due to suffering from insomnia and it turns out women are twice as likely to suffer from it and unfortunately Coleen is part of that statistic." The 64 year old panelist comforted Coleen, saying: "About six months ago you said that you started to get insomnia which you haven't had before." In an emotional revelation, Coleen admitted: "I don't know if it's menopause but all of a sudden I can not remember the last time I had a proper full night's sleep.
So I fall asleep easily but then I wake up at like 2am, probably 2am till 5am and I'm wide awake.", reports the Mirror. She opened up about her struggles: "It's so hard because I'm so tired in the day and then I think this is good.
