Coronavirus Scotland: 33 die as number of confirmed coronavirus cases hits 1059

Thirty-three people have died in Scotland from coronavirus - an increase of eight overnight. And the number of confirmed cases has risen to 1059 which is an increase of 165 since yesterday.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon updated the country in a statement today in Parliament. Sadly, Sturgeon confirmed 72 patients are currently in ICU.Earlier, Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed he has tested positive for the deadly disease and is now isolating at Number 10.Scotland is still on lockdown and Scots are being reminded to follow the new regulations.We are advised not to leave our homes unless to shop for essentials, to take exercise once a day, for medical reasons, to care for a vulnerable person or to travel to essential work if that cannot
