The UK coronavirus lockdown will last another eight weeks until June “at an absolute minimum”, a public health chief has claimed.
Britain’s shutdown, now in its third week, is set to be reviewed in the next week or two by the government as the death toll continues to leap.
The lockdown started on March 23, forcing Brits to stay indoors unless for essential shopping, medical needs or one form of exercise a day.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson – who is now in intensive care and struggling with his coronavirus symptoms – said the shutdown would be reviewed on Monday, April 13.
