Cuckoo on Channel 5: What it's about, how many episodes, who's in the cast and where you've seen them before
A new gripping drama has landed on Channel 5 bringing some familiar faces back to our TV screens. The four-part series starring Jill Halfpenny and Lee Ingleby airs from tonight (Monday, April 8) and has promised to leave viewers on the edge of their seats.
Channel 5 describes the new show as an 'intense drama of secrets and deception.' The first episode will show a family moving into their dream home.
But the lodger they need to make ends meet soon causes friction. An idyllic life in the countryside for the family of three soon starts to turn sour when husband-and-wife Jessica (Claire Goose) and Nick (Lee Ingleby) realise things may not be what they seem with the new lodger Sian (Jill Halfpenny). However, the parents continue to feel uneasy and fear her troubled past could have devastating consequences. Jill has said of her latest Channel 5 project: "It’s fun, and it’s perfect for if you come in from work and you're tired after a hard day, looking to be distracted. "It might feel familiar because there’s a nod to an older type of show that you might have watched when you were in your teens, and it’s intense, but we’re not out to rip you to pieces, it’s entertaining.
