TV presenter and podcast host Fearne Cotton has openly discussed her forthcoming surgery to have two benign tumours removed from her jaw, shortly after her friend and fellow broadcaster Davina McCall spoke out about her own health struggles.
Drawing support from her "bloody good mate" Davina, Fearne shared the personal news with her followers tonight.Davina, known for her work on Big Brother, had a six-hour operation recently to remove a benign brain tumour.Taking to Instagram, Fearne addressed her 3.9 million followers in a video: "I've got a benign tumour just in my jaw here, below my ear, another little tiny one above it.
I'm very grateful they're benign but they do need to come out because they're on a nerve."She expressed that she plans to rest after the procedure to ensure a recovery before Christmas, though she admitted she isn't particularly skilled at taking it easy. "So I'm gonna have that surgery, and then I'm gonna be resting to get better before Christmas.
Not very good at resting, so wondering how that's gonna go. But I'm feeling okay about it. I'm going into the operation feeling good and well." Fearne also assured fans that her podcast, Happy Place, would continue uninterrupted, reports the Mirror.
