Dozens of London Underground stations are to be closed from today 'until further notice', in response to the Covid-19 outbreak.

Up to 40 stations which do not interchange with other lines are expected to shut. Waterloo and City line and Night Tube services will not run from tomorrow.

London bus services are to be reduced, and people are being urged not to use public transport for anything other than essential journeys.

Emergency legislation to tackle the coronavirus outbreak will be published in the House of Commons today, after Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the closure of schools and cancellation of exams.
