Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan has tested negative for Covid-19 despite coming down with symptoms. The fiesty presenter took the day off work on Monday and Tuesday after seeking medical advice from Dr Hilary Jones.

The 55-year-old decided to take a test as a precaution to determine whether or not he actually had the virus.On Sunday, Piers told fans he'd have to miss GMB after suffering mild symptoms and was awaiting the result of a test.He tweeted: "UPDATE: On medical advice, and out of an abundance of caution for a mild symptom that arose in past 48hrs... "I've had a test for COVID-19 and so won’t            be working on  @GMB  until I get the result back, which should be tomorrow." And today, his results came back negative and he took to Twitter to update
