East Kilbride teen Alex Lindsay remembered at football tournament promoting mental health

Mental health awareness was the message at the annual Alex Lindsay Cup in memory of an East Kilbride teen.Marking six years since the tragic passing of 18-year-old Alexander Iain Bonomy-Lindsay, the tournament kicked off on July 6 at K-Park.

Sixteen teams turned out for the charity match raising over £5540 for the dedicated mental health charity set up in Alex's name, Adored.The day provided quality football with some nail-biting finishes with the final played by Bonomy FC - a team created by Alex’s friends - and Duncanrig Villa.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
