Itchy bumps on fingers and toes could actually be common skin condition warns doctor

If you suffer with small bumps on your hands or feet that can be quite itchy, then you may have a common skin condition - and thankfully there is a way to banish them.

Taking to TikTok, the health expert Dr. Rubin, MD aka @rubin_allergy shared what he recommends with the NHS warning when you should make an appointment.Cautioning that this if "for general educational purposes only.

Not specific medical advice", he explains that if you have a rash that looks like "little tiny bumps that look like fluid-filled blisters on your hands or feet" which are "intensely itchy", then you may have something called dysgidrotic eczema or pomphoyx."The medical expert states: "This rash usually starts in early adulthood and it often comes in intervals about every three to four weeks in response to emotional or physical stress.

But the underlying mechanism is poorly understood."Often called Pompholyx, the NHS says that you should see a GP if:To help keep the skin condition at bay, the doctor says that people can try washing their hands without any jewellery on, using a fragrance free gentle cleanser to clean your hands, pat your hands dry thoroughly and then place a heavy cream or ointment on afterwards.
