Eleven more people have died from coronavirus in Greater Manchester

Eleven more people have died in Greater Manchester after succumbing to the coronavirus pandemic. NHS England announced the total death toll across the country had risen to 386 on Tuesday - up by 83.

It comes after Boris Johnson announced tough new measures, urging people only to go out for food, exercise and essential work.

Two more people have died at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust. Another two have sadly died at Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. Four more people at Manchester Royal Infirmary have succumbed to the effects of COVID-19.

Another one person has died at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, and two people at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. The total number of deaths in Greater Manchester now stands at 23.
