NHS Lanarkshire urging people not to visit hospital if they have any signs of illness

Cases of flu, RSV and Covid are increasing in Lanarkshire and, as a result, in the number of people being admitted to hospital.NHS Lanarkshire bosses are telling people not to visit hospital if they have any signs of an illness, such as a cold or flu, or are experiencing symptoms like diarrhoea and or vomitingLesley Thomson, Nurse Director, said: “We understand that patients in hospital want to see their family and friends.

It is extremely important that anyone who is feeling unwell or has been experiencing diarrhoea or vomiting be clear of any symptoms for at least 48 hours before visiting.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
