Doctor Who aficionados were on the edge of their seats this Christmas as BBC One delivered the much-anticipated festive special, Joy to the World.
Ncuti Gatwa's Doctor took a time-bending trip to the Time Hotel in the year 4202 during the episode. This futuristic hotel offered guests a unique vacation experience, allowing them to visit any point in time, from London's Blitz to JFK's assassination.
Joining the Doctor was a character named Joy, portrayed by Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan. Eagle-eyed viewers identified numerous Easter eggs throughout the show, including a tribute to Mr Benn's Clothes Shop, an homage to the classic 70s children's series.
In the original Mr Benn series, the main character would enter a magical door at a costume shop which would transport him to various adventures pertinent to his outfit.
