Figures for April 3 show another 57 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Lanarkshire

The Scottish Government today said that 377 people have now tested positive for coronavirus in Lanarkshire.That is an increase of 57 new cases, up from 320 yesterday.It comes as 172 patients across Scotland who tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) have died.The test numbers for April 3 show:A total of 19,535 people in Scotland have been tested.

Of these:■  16,534 tests were confirmed negative■  3001 tests were positive■  172 patients who tested positive have died, up from 126 yesterday.First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said: “Coronavirus is the biggest challenge of our lifetime and  measures we take to tackle it must reflect the magnitude of that.“These measures are essential to slow down the spread of this virus.
