A man has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a motorbike crash in Tameside. Emergency services raced out to Cheetham Hill Road in Stalybridge as rush hour hit at around 5.10pm this evening (July 22).

The collision involved a motorbike carrying two people and a car. The rider of the motorbike was taken to hospital from the scene with serious injuries, while the passenger was treated for minor injuries.

Officers taped off a large section of the road that was closed in both directions from Lodge Lane to Buckley Street. A spokesperson from GMP said: “At around 5:10pm today (Monday, July 22 ) emergency services responded to a road traffic collision involving a motorbike and a car on Cheetham Hill Road in Stalybridge. “The motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries, while the passenger on the motorbike is being treated for minor injuries.
