'I didn’t anticipate being that thin': Big Brother Chanelle Hayes’ wedding health woes

Chanelle Hayes couldn't have been happier as she said 'I do' to fiancé Dan Bingham on 28 June 2024 after a two-year engagement.

But the one thing the former Big Brother star didn't anticipate was how "thin" she would be on her wedding day. In an exclusive chat with OK! , Chanelle opened up on her health woes on the lead up to their special day.The mum of two who was diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) three years ago and, unfortunately, experienced a flare-up just months before which caused her weight to plummet.

The TV star also previously had a gastric sleeve fitted and lost around eight stone, dropping from a dress size 18 to a 10 in 2020.

Chanelle - who donned a beautiful off-the-shoulder white gown embellished with glitter and pearls - said: "I did feel amazing on my wedding day but I didn’t anticipate being that thin." Chanelle and Dan tied the knot in front of 110 of their nearest and dearest against a backdrop of stunning flowers and exposed brick walls at their stunning venue, Northorpe Barn in Mirfield.
