Rita Ora has had to disappoint fans by cancelling her gig in Hungary just a few hours before she was due to perform after falling ill.The 33 year-old singer was set to take the stage at Campus Fesztival but had to withdraw and take some much-needed rest on the advice of her doctors.The songstress took to Instagram this evening (July 27) to update her 16.1 million followers with a sincere post on her Stories, choosing not to specify what her illness was.

However, she did reveal that it was severe enough to warrant an overnight stay at a hospital in Budapest.Her message read: "Please forgive this unexpected turn of events but sadly I will not be able to perform at Campus Fesztival tonight.

Having spent the night in hospital in Budapest, I must rest thoroughly and follow doctor's orders."She continued: "I am so sorry to my fans who are going to be there today and I'm truly thankful for your understanding." After sharing the news, her supporters expressed their well-wishes on Twitter, sending messages of support for a speedy recovery, reports Birmingham Live.

One fan commented: "Get well soon queen', while another shared: 'omg get well soon, Reets. we love you. Take care".Looking ahead, Rita is expected to return to the stage on August 16, performing at the Lovestream Festival in Slovakia.In recent times, the star has spoken candidly about her marriage to filmmaker Taika Waititi after tying the knot nearly two years ago.
