Oasis matriarch Peggy Gallagher has sold her cherished holiday home in the west of Ireland after concerns from her famous sons, Liam and Noel.At 81, the Gallagher brothers were worried about their elderly mum being isolated in Charlestown, Co Mayo, especially post-Covid, with no one close by to care for her if she became ill.
The once regular traveller from Manchester to her beloved Mayo haven has seen her visits decrease with age, leaving the house largely unoccupied.
The property, which is located just three miles from the town centre was recently sold for over €300,000, the Mirror reports.Peggy's advancing age has meant her visits to Charlestown are less frequent, as driving herself was no longer an option.
A local source revealed: "In recent years we'd hardly see Peggy here. I suppose she is getting older and decided to sell up because she was not getting the use out of the house that she used to be. "The Covid pandemic changed things for a lot of people including Peggy.
