A major emergency response was called to Sale Water Park on Thursday evening (January 30). Police, fire crews and paramedics were called to the scene shortly after 10pm.
Pictures from the scene show multiple fire engines, police vehicles and ambulances parked close to the Boathouse restaurant, near Cow Lane, off Rifle Road.
It is understood that emergency crews were called to a person in need of rescue following a concern for welfare report near to the water.
Officers were also seen walking up a nearby footbridge in the area as the car park became packed with emergency vehicles. Samaritans (116 123) samaritans.org operates a 24-hour service available every day of the year.
