Piers Morgan
Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan apologises to Ofcom after fans bombard the watchdog over 'bully' claims

Piers Morgan has apologised to Ofcom after he urged his online following to contact the TV watchdog so he could continue to challenge MPs on Good Morning Britain.

GMB was slapped 2,000 complaints over the acid-tongued presenter's feisty interview with Care Minister Helen Whately last week.

During the heated discussion, the 58-year-old called out the MP for the lack of coronavirus testing in care homes after reports thousands of patients have already died from the bug.

While many thought Piers was out of line for the way in which he conducted the interview, many backed the TV host and felt it was fair how he held Helen "to account".
